Summary
Regal Boats is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This internship offers hands‑on experience inside a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where you will gain exposure to purchasing, inventory control, supplier relations, production planning, logistics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity for a student or recent graduate who wants to build a career in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing while learning from industry professionals in a company that builds premium American‑made boats.
Key Responsibilities
Support purchasing and procurement activities, including purchase orders, supplier communication, and tracking deliveries.
Assist with monitoring inventory levels to help ensure parts and materials are available for production.
Analyze supply chain data and prepare reports related to purchasing trends, shortages, and on‑time delivery.
Partner with production teams to support scheduling and material flow across departments.
Help identify process improvement opportunities that increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Assist with logistics coordination, freight scheduling, and shipment tracking.
Participate in cross‑functional meetings with operations, engineering, and finance teams.
Maintain accurate records within ERP/MRP systems and spreadsheets.
Support special projects related to strategic sourcing, cost savings, or supplier development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Conversational English.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
Interest in manufacturing, boating, or premium consumer products preferred.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions, non‑climate‑controlled office environments, or factory environments. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. In certain areas, the factory maintains a high‑fiberglass, dusty environment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to walk, climb, or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision. Personal Protective Equipment may be required in certain areas of the factory, including, but not limited to, safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection, gloves, and protective garments. Employees in safety‑sensitive positions must report to work fit for duty and must remain fit for duty throughout their workday. To be fit for duty, the employee must not be impaired by alcohol, illicit drugs, or medication.
