Marine Technician (Mobile Boat Repair)
Delta Workforce is seeking a Marine Technician for a mobile boat repair company based in Southeast Michigan. The role focuses on on‑site repairs of boats, with emphasis on stern drives, outboards, AC/DC electrical systems, air conditioning, generators, and diesel/gas engine work. This is a hands‑on mobile service position in a small, experienced team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mobile on‑site boat repairs, including stern drive and outboard service, AC/DC electrical, air conditioning, generators, and engine maintenance
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on marine vessels
Complete routine maintenance such as oil changes and remove‑and‑replace repairs
Maintain service vehicles and shop areas (cleaning vans, sweeping, general upkeep)
Participate in daily morning job board meetings, typically starting between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM
Work professionally on customer boats with care and respect
Collaborate with existing technicians on various repair tasks
Requirements
Previous experience as a marine technician or strong mechanical/electrical background (automotive experience considered)
Ability to use diagnostic tools and multimeters correctly
Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a small team
Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Marine‑related certifications (MBIA or Macomb Community College Marine Tech certification) are highly valued but not required
