Description
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring effective operation and maintenance of the plant and machinery. The Maintenance Technician II will also implement plant safety initiatives and communicate effectively with internal and external customers. The maintenance technician will also perform additional duties as assigned.

Perform tasks related to preventative/predictive maintenance, mechanical/electrical machine repairs, inspection and testing of equipment, and specific projects
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues with wire processing machinery and production lines, injection molding machines, and other facility equipment.
Strong knowledge of hand tools, testing equipment and maintenance best practices
Ability to execute “point to point troubleshooting” techniques to find the root cause of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Strong understanding of MRO/Storeroom processes and procedures
Ability to identify and process PLC/Controls issues to aid in troubleshooting and repair.
Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to aid in troubleshooting.
Ability to analyze and perform mechanical rebuilds on machine components.
Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery, ensuring proper electrical, mechanical, calibration and functionality before start-up.
Complete assigned work orders and unplanned/emergency tasks as required
Respond promptly to production floor breakdowns and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime.
Maintain maintenance area in a clean and orderly fashion
Utilize maintenance systems as necessary to complete daily, weekly, monthly duties
Document work order information/completion
Provide support to the team in the maintenance excellence program and provide continuous improvement ideas
Participate and actively support all plant initiatives such as minimizing or eliminating downtime and ensuring plant optimization
Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements that enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Provide leadership that embodies our company culture and department standards
Ability to lead and train others
Qualifications
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate’s degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical, or a related field strongly preferred.
Proven experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical (120/240/480), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Proven experience installing electrical (120/240/480) single/three phase systems and machinery
Proven experience installing mechanical light automation machinery
Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and industrial automation systems.
Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
