Job Summary
The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment to support concrete plant operations. Primary duties include loading aggregate bins, loading trucks, maintaining aggregate stockpiles, and ensuring haul roads and yard areas are properly maintained. The position requires routine machine maintenance, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Work hours will vary and may include nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Safety and Compliance:
Operate equipment in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
Follow all applicable safety regulations and immediately report unsafe conditions or policy violations.
Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement efforts to maintain a safe workplace.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
Operate front-end loader and other heavy equipment, including Skid Steer, Excavator, and Manlift, within their designed parameters.
Perform routine daily service inspections, fueling, greasing, and cleaning of equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, aggregate bins, and plant yard.
Report major equipment problems to the supervisor for resolution.
Plant and Yard Support:
Assist with plant and yard maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Support general plant cleanliness and upkeep.
Hazard Awareness:
Take immediate corrective action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks or assignments as directed by management to meet operational needs.

Reliable, regular, and predictable attendance with flexibility to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Independence:
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.

Requirements
Experience:
1-3 years of heavy equipment operation, specifically front-end loader experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Class D Driver's License and current DOT Medical Certification.
Testing:
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
Physical Ability:
Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and perform duties in varying outdoor conditions.
Working Conditions
Work is performed outdoors and at plant sites, with exposure to weather conditions, loud noises, moving mechanical parts, dust, and fumes. May be required to work outside of regular business hours, including nights and weekends.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, climbing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to climb in and out of heavy equipment and perform manual tasks in outdoor environments. Must be able to hear, see, and communicate effectively to ensure safe operation of equipment.
