Position Summary
The Research Lab Coordinator will support foundation-funded studies, some clinical science research, and community-based interventions. Primary responsibilities include assisting Principal Investigators and the study team with all stages of research, including IRB submission and maintenance, participant recruitment/enrollment, conducting study visits and administering surveys, data entry and cleaning, and related administrative tasks (scheduling, note-taking, record keeping, database management, and purchasing). The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, an in-person schedule, and the ability to travel around metro Denver. This is a full-time position with University of Denver benefits. This is a one-year position.
Essential Functions
Outreach to participants, data management, and data collection (e.g., enrollment, survey administration)
Community outreach and collaboration with community partners
IRB-related tasks, literature reviews, publication and grant support
Administrative meetings and coordination
Dissemination of research on social media
Supervision of research assistants and supporting graduate students
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills to support new lab setup
Interpersonal skills for working with adolescents and families
Strong statistical skills and data analysis ability
Ability to communicate and collaborate diplomatically with diverse stakeholders
Ability to draft narrative reports and correspondence
Time management and ability to meet deadlines in a high-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), SPSS, REDCap
Attention to detail and motivation in decision making
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor\'s degree
1–3 years of research experience (e.g., undergraduate lab, study coordinator)
1–3 years of community engagement (e.g., volunteering with community groups, non-profits)
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, REDCap, Qualtrics
Experience as a research assistant in psychology research
Fluency in Spanish
Experience disseminating research via social media
Oral presentation skills with community partners
Familiarity with assessments (e.g., WISC, WIAT, WASI) and/or clinical interviews
Working Environment
Standard office environment
Occasional interruptions; moderate to high stress level
Noise level: quiet to moderate
Physical Activities
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
Occasional movement around the office/campus
Work Schedule
Normal hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm (MST). Evenings and weekends as required; minimum of one evening shift per week.
