Digital Marketing Manager

The Ivy Group seeks a Digital Marketing Manager who brings strong project management, a comprehensive digital marketing background and approach, and collaborative spirit to our team. The Digital Marketing Manager will operate as a “player-coach”, taking an active role in both creating and overseeing digital content and campaigns alongside other members of our account team. The ideal candidate impeccably manages complex projects, leaves no detail unchecked, and is ready to help our clients navigate a changing digital landscape.

This full‑time position is in person in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Responsibilities
Project and Client Management

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients and team members

Plan and oversee all project details, including budget, timeline, deliverables, and resource allocation in collaboration with agency leadership

Scope, draft, and prepare proposals in response to prospect inquiries in collaboration with agency leadership

Maintain in‑depth knowledge of marketing best practices and evaluate emerging channels

Act as client point‑of‑contact on select accounts; lead client meetings and manage all client communications

Campaign Management

Create, actively manage, and refine paid search campaigns using Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising (Bing)

Create, actively manage, and refine display and native campaigns

Create, actively manage, and refine social media content and ads using Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and other platforms

Manage the preparation of informative, readable reports; gauge impact and recommend next steps

Identify, critically vet, and recommend marketing technologies for more efficient and effective campaigns, e.g., marketing automation, social media management, analytics and reporting, CRM, etc.

Skillfully leverage and maintain certifications in Google business products such as Analytics, Ad Manager, Ads, Business Profile Manager, Search Console, Tag Manager, etc.

Content and Strategy

Ideate, plan, and oversee performance‑driven communications strategies

Review and revise marketing content for client alignment, technical compliance, adherence to documentation, search engine optimization, and platform best practices

Create content (i.e., social posts, blogs, email copy, etc.) in alignment with client requests, content strategies, and platform best practices

Support other creative team members in content creation through direction and oversight as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience creating and managing digital marketing campaigns, with a preference for agency experience

Knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics, social media platforms, WordPress, email marketing tools required

Knowledge of content trends and best practices, and content creation tools such as MailChimp, WordPress, and Canva strongly preferred

Superb analytical skills and technical aptitude

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to tackle complex tasks independently with sound judgment, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Enthusiasm for collaborating with coworkers and clients to deliver the best work possible
