Responsibilities
The Mortgage Appraisal Coordinator is responsible for ordering and processing all appraisal orders for the Mortgage Business Unit. The Coordinator must process all orders timely, ensure acceptance of the orders, and follow up to ensure that the order will be returned timely. Once completed, the Coordinator must process the appraisal and deliver it timely to the borrowers to meet all regulatory requirements and minimize client impact due to delayed appraisals.

Key Accountabilities

Ensure all appraisal requests are processed timely and accurately.

Monitor the appraisal request pipeline and order all appraisals within the expected SLA.

Process all requests to ensure that the selected appraiser meets all requirements based on loan program, investor, or bank requirements.

Reassign appraisal orders or work with appraisers to minimize delays in the overall mortgage process.

Follow up on orders and ensure the appraiser has accepted the assignment to avoid lost orders.

Track outstanding appraisal orders and follow up with appraisers to minimize delays in returning appraisals after the agreed due date.

Process completed appraisals according to program, investor, or bank requirements for timely delivery to the applicant.

Accurately process the applicant's payment for the appraisal.

Monitor the mod‑appraisals mailbox for questions and follow up to assist Mortgage Loan Originators, Processors, Underwriters, and Closers.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple functions and priorities while maintaining high accuracy.

Experience using personal computers and general office equipment.

Customer service orientation and aptitude.
