Overview
The City of Aiken is seeking an Athletic Program Coordinator to join our Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department in the Athletics Division.
Responsibilities
Develops, plans, markets, and supervises the coordination and implementation of all youth and adult athletic sports leagues, tournaments, and special events
Schedules rental facilities, completes contracts, work requests, check requests, and diagrams for set ups
Enforces departmental rules and regulations. Assists with interviewing, training, and supervision of part-time and seasonal staff
Registers participants and receipts monies
Resolves customer concerns or complaints
Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with other City divisions, outside agencies, groups, and the general public
Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in recreation or related field (preferred)
A commercial driver's license (CDL) is required within a year of employment
Must have excellent customer service skills
Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends
