Job Overview
Maintenance Mechanic C performs general maintenance in an industrial plant environment to support daily manufacturing needs.
1st Shift: 5:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday; overtime may be required on Friday and Saturday.
Retention bonus: $1,000 after 90 days of employment.
Benefits begin on the first of the month following hire: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short‑Term Disability, 401(k), 4% company retirement contribution regardless of participation.
Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance to repair, replace, and install equipment and supplies.
Change out core molds, including lifting metal cores from lids, replacing O‑rings (50–55 lb), changing out back plates, and installing new covers over mold lid covers.
Replace light bulbs, air vents, and other components in industrial‑height ceilings using a scissor lift.
Assist other mechanics with larger box mold/hats work on the floor, using diagrams to install correctly.
Read diagrams, blueprints, and instructional booklets to repair, install, or change equipment.
Complete all required paperwork.
Use hoists, drills, hammers, screwdrivers, and other hand tools where needed.
Other Responsibilities
Operate forklifts.
Perform other maintenance work as directed.
Collaborate with the engineering department on special projects.
Assist in the design of tooling and equipment for molds, welding steel, and cutting steel when required.
Assist with mold set‑up when required and perform other job‑related functions as assigned.
Practice and promote safety, including working at heights up to approximately 50 feet.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance, which is essential to the role.
Qualifications
To succeed, you will need strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and good time management. Knowledge of safety protocols, adaptability, and the ability to work well in a team are essential.
