Title
Medical Practice Patient Representative - Northern ObGyn - Rhinebeck, NY (Per Diem)
Summary
Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates patient care activities for the medical practice.
Responsibilities
Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
Ensures accuracy of patient information, including demographics and insurance.
Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and ensures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system.
Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable.
Collects co‑pays and reconciles money for deposit.
Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Maintains and models the organization values.
Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required).
Minimum experience: 6 months.
1 year of customer‑related experience (required).
Preferred: 1+ years of healthcare experience.
Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
Data entry skills and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Other Information
Ability to travel between practices as needed.
Salary Range
Hourly: $18.92 – $34.50 (based on years of experience).
