
Environmental Health Safety Analyst

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.

Reporting to the site Sr. Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manger, you will provide environmental, health and safety guidance to our leadership team located in Jonestown, PA. TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures, and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative work ethic, able to work with multiple departments.
Job Requirements
Implement and handle processes and systems for environmental health and safety hazard identification and risk management
Create effective emergency response plan, train workforce and coordinate test plans on a defined frequency and validate emergency action plan
Participate in incident investigations in partnership with Operations to identify the root cause and help prevent recurrence
Implement and execute controls and programs and ensure they work as planned
Assist in preparation for audits, governmental inspections and customer visits and identify data and reports needed to monitor performance and compliance against goals
Assist in the design, creation and implementation of local safety policy documents and advise on training content and delivery mode, in line with global and regional requirements, conduct gap assessment to identify training needs and adjust curriculum to reflect site specific needs
Understand risks applicable to contractor and external service providers, implement, monitor and evaluate approved processes to control environmental health and safety risks with contractors
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement

What your background should look like
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field or equivalent experience
In-depth knowledge of legislation and business processes in environmental health and safety systems, industrial safety, ecology, and environmental protection
Minimum of two years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse groups in a large organization.
Knowledge of international instruments aimed at reducing injuries (near hits, observation, risk assessment)
Experience with environmental health and safety management systems.
