San Diego Comic Con Internship

Position Overview:
Z2 currently seeking enthusiastic and driven interns to join the team May-July2026 focused on (but not limited to) San Diego Comic Con, the premier event for all things comics and pop culture. This paid, part-time internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in both Event Operations & Marketing. As an intern, you will work closely with the team to support a range of tasks including event preparation and logistics, booth management, and transporting event materials to and from the venue in a safe and efficient manner.

This is a paid part time internship that is remote May - July 21. July 22 - 26 is on-site at the San Diego Convention Center.

Responsibilities

Support event logistics, including maintaining detailed records of material orders and appearance schedules (via Excel, Google Sheets, etc).

Help build Con related social schedules+ content capture week of event.

Collect, transport, and deliver equipment, supplies, and materials to and from the venue the week of Comic Con.

Assist in the execution of onsite production and operational tasks during event setup and in-event execution.

Run various errands by foot, bike, vehicle, or public transportation at various distances.

Make purchases for the show and venue as needed for event needs as directed by staff on‑site.

Act as a point of contact for licensors, partners and their guests.

Monitor crowd control measures during booth events.

Take on additional projects and tasks assigned by the team.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age and be legally allowed to work.

Must be local to San Diego and have your own reliable transportation.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with POS systems (Square, Shopify POS, etc) and comfortable handling cash.

Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite, Google, Dropbox, Social Media Platforms, etc).

Strong multitasking abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.

Ability to thrive in high‑stress, high‑volume situations while maintaining a positive attitude, organization and focus.

Provide at least 2 character references.

Prior Entertainment (concerts, conventions, music, film, or agencies) experience is highly preferred.
