Medical Laboratory Technician

As our Medical Lab Technologist, you will perform vital clinical laboratory procedures to detect, identify, measure, and report data crucial for disease diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
Align with local and state requirements and perform lab test procedures on patient specimens following SOPs to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
Provide excellent patient care through clinical correlation of results, identify patterns of bias and rapidly notify caregivers of critical values while meeting established turn‑around time limits.
Ensure major automated equipment is operational by performing maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting; including contacting instrument vendors when needed.
Perform required calibration and quality control procedures and maintain records to keep tests within established parameters.
Conduct proficiency testing as assigned and review results with laboratory clinical leaders.
Assist in evaluating and generating compliant documentation for validation of new procedures and equipment to keep the laboratory current.
Requirements
Associate’s degree in biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA, or upon hire.
Completion of an official military medical laboratory course and holding the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Lab Technician), or upon hire.
High School graduate with General Studies completed a military medical laboratory course and holding the Medical Laboratory Specialist specialty, or upon hire.
Preferred
Medical Laboratory Technician AMT certification, or upon hire.
Medical Laboratory Technician ASCP certification, or upon hire.
Medical Lab Tech AAB certification, or upon hire.
Location

Pay
$21.85 - $30.87 /hour
