
Registered Dental Hygienist

Here at Pacific NW Smiles, located in the Mill Creek Town Center, we are seeking a full‑time enthusiastic and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist to help lead our hygiene department.
Our practice emphasizes comprehensive elective dental care, CEREC, implant placement, All on X, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, sedation dentistry, and sleep‑apnea. We blend cutting‑edge technology with a fun, collaborative team culture.
Office Hours: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday–Thursday. Benefits Offered: Medical, 401k, Dental.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive preventive care, including thorough prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polishing, fluoride and sealant application, and patient comfort through clear communication.
Administer anesthetic for hygiene and restorative patients when necessary.
Perform periodontal assessment and charting: review medical/dental histories, record accurate periodontal measurements, and conduct oral health screenings for decay, gum disease, and oral cancer.
Obtain diagnostic imaging and scanning: take digital radiographs and use the iTero intraoral scanner (training provided).
Conduct laser periodontal therapy (soft‑tissue laser) with training.
Update and manage electronic records in CareStack practice‑management software, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Educate patients on proper homecare techniques and nutrition and oral systemic health.
Maintain treatment‑room hygiene: sterilize instruments, maintain operatory cleanliness, and manage hygiene supplies.
Lead and innovate by implementing new protocols and mentoring team members.
Restorative hygiene is encouraged, but not required.
Qualifications
Current CPR certification.
Associate’s degree and certification in a dental hygiene program (higher education levels are highly valued).
In‑depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer‑service skills.
Licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in the state.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly: $60 – $70. Benefits: Medical, 401k, Dental.
