Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Urology
Full Time – 40 hours, Monday‑Friday – no weekends/holidays.
Job Summary
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team, demonstrates clinical competence, and may require a professional certification or a documented community standard for the position. Works independently and in collaboration with the principal investigator when appropriate.
Responsibilities
In-basket management, patient triage and assessment.
Assist with various procedures.
Chemo instillation, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years RN experience in a hospital setting such as ED, ICU, High Acute Care, or Ambulatory; Urology experience preferred.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty, and possesses analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services, communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
Certifications / Licensure
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
Certification required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, e.g., Oncology Certified Nurse.
