Position
Part‑time Dental Assistant Instructor (Saturdays, 7:30 am–6:30 pm, breaks included). Location: Austin, TX. Compensation $26–$28 /hour, depending on experience. This role is for experienced dental assistants (DA, RDA, or EFDA) who want to continue practicing during the week and mentor students on Saturdays, supporting our 12‑week hands‑on clinical training program.
Schedule and Compensation
Schedule: Saturdays 7:30 am–6:30 pm (breaks included). Teaching schedule may vary with morning/afternoon class availability.
Location: Austin, TX (in‑person).
Compensation: $26–$28 /hr, depending on experience.
What You'll Do
Demonstrate chairside procedures and clinical techniques.
Teach radiology fundamentals and safety protocols.
Coach students during hands‑on lab practice.
Provide performance feedback and skills assessments.
Maintain infection control and classroom safety standards.
Foster a supportive, structured learning environment.
Qualifications
5+ years of dental assisting or chairside experience.
Active radiology certification.
CPR/BLS certification.
Strong communicator, able to explain clinical procedures clearly to beginners.
Able to commute to location(s).
Nice to have: prior teaching or mentoring experience, familiarity with Dentrix, leadership background.
