Operating Room Surgical Technician Full Time
Specialty Surgical Center of Westlake Village is hiring a Full Time Operating Room Surgical Technician. This position requires working in a fast‑paced, multi‑specialty surgery center that specializes in Orthopedics, Pain Management, Oculoplastic, and Podiatry. The facility has 7 operating rooms and is expanding case volume. No call, weekends or holidays.
Pay Range:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour. Compensation is based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
The Operating Room Surgical Technician scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certification as required by state and/or center
Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management
Understanding of aseptic techniques and implementation
Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient condition when needed
Excellent teamwork and strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
