Position Details
Location: UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, Aurora, CO.
Department: Cardiac Rehab
Work Schedule: Full Time, 80 hours per 2‑week pay period
Shift: Days
Pay: $24.11 - $36.17 per hour (dependent on relevant experience)
Onsite role; no hybrid or remote option.
Summary
Develops exercise prescription, oversees exercise progression/ability of patients, and performs diagnostic tests.
Responsibilities
Monitor, assess, treat, and document patient tolerance of exercise in accordance with policies and procedures.
Provide exercise prescription for patients using assessment data, patient status and medication regimen; update prescriptions per patient response.
Recognize contraindications to exercise and abnormal responses and respond appropriately.
Provide exercise and disease management education to patients, peers, and the community.
Use critical thinking and judgement, work independently with minimal supervision; handle fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of hire.
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
Licensure / Certification
None required.
BLS via American Heart Association or American Red Cross; CPR card must be current within 60 days of hire.
