Sentara is hiring a Part‑time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician at Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA. $2,500 Sign‑On Bonus for Qualified Candidates!
Job Details
Location: Hampton, VA – Sentara Careplex Hospital
Status: Part Time (40 hours every two weeks)
Shift: Rotating (8‑hour shifts)
Hours: 6:30 am – 9:30 pm* (includes every other weekend plus one 8‑hour shift per week).
Responsibilities
Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.
Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care.
Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed.
Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information.
Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements.
Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required).
CPhT License (Preferred; received through the NHA or PTCB).
Previous Pharmacy Experience (Preferred).
Pharmacy technician license required in the state of practice.
