Certified Physical Therapist Assistant, Full-Time:
The Physical Therapist Assistant will be responsible for carrying out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist for inpatients/outpatients, Home Health patients, school based students, and residential care home residents. Physical Therapist Assistants provide services in accordance with the State Practice Act which include:
Reviewing patients’ medical histories
Providing treatments that follow established plan of cares and goals for patients to achieve the expected outcomes of the plan
Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury
Recording patients’ progress in daily documentation and reporting to Physical Therapist changes that require modifications of plan of cares as needed
Educating patients and family members about the recovery process
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant or in the health field preferred
but not necessary.
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
Req. Cert./Licensed in State of Kansas or eligible for licensure with Kansas
Licensure:Board of Healing Arts.
