
Clinical Obesity Medicine Physician

Job Summary
The Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes, Department of Internal Medicine seeks a patient‑focused obesity medicine clinician to join the weight management program at the University of Utah.
Responsibilities
Provide direct outpatient care for patients with obesity and related conditions.
Develop individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans incorporating behavioral, nutritional, pharmacologic, and bariatric surgical options.
Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists, dietitians, psychologists, exercise physiologists, and surgeons.
Contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, community outreach, and educational activities.
Qualifications
ABIM or ABFM certification.
Obesity training; fellowship training and board certification in obesity medicine from the American Board of Obesity Medicine preferred.
Eligibility for a medical license in the State of Utah.
Program and Institutional Information
The university offers an academic faculty appointment commensurate with training and experience. The weight management program is the first of its kind in the Intermountain West, nationally recognized for its multidisciplinary approach, and offers extensive research collaboration opportunities.
