The role involves assessing and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders; developing and implementing individualized treatment plans; providing therapy to improve communication skills; monitoring progress to adjust interventions as needed; collaborating with other healthcare professionals; educating patients and families; and documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate treatment records.
Recommended qualifications include a master’s degree in speech‑language pathology, state licensure, clinical experience, and a passing score on the licensing exam. Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Certifications: BLS
