Right of Way Agent ROW (Northern California)

Right of Way Agent in California responsible for acquiring easements for infrastructure projects across the state. Coordinate negotiations with landowners and internal teams to ensure all land acquisition is obtained and documented, and maintain accurate records of ROW agreements and correspondence.
Hybrid position; candidate must reside or be willing to relocate to Northern California (Oregon border to Bakersfield).
Required Skills and Experience

Problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.
Collaboration with landowners and the internal team to ensure easements align with company needs.
Negotiation and acquisition of easements from private property owners.
Conducting land rights research, including understanding legal descriptions.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with landowners to facilitate smooth ROW acquisition processes.
Preparation and maintenance of accurate records of ROW agreements, negotiations, and correspondence.
Strong real estate acquisition experience and fundamental understanding of issues related to land acquisitions.
Serve as the property owner’s main contact throughout the project life.
Self‑motivated with a desire to learn and grow within the organization.
Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of Right of Way acquisition experience.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Valid California Driver’s License.
Ability to understand ROW regulations.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Active California Real Estate License.
Active California notary or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

This position involves substantial time performing safety‑sensitive labor or services. Candidates must pass Fitness for Duty testing and be physically and functionally fit to perform essential duties, which include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance, agility, stooping, kneeling, squatting, grasping, reaching, repetitive hand movements, and use of safety equipment in indoor or outdoor environments with potential noise, machinery, confined spaces, heights, fumes, chemicals, or other hazards.

Salary

Base salary range: $89,400.00 to $119,000.00, determined by work location, experience, and additional factors.
