Overview
Henry Ford Health is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Research Student to support research efforts in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Brigitte Harris Cancer Institute in Detroit. In this role, you will serve as a Research Student to support a physician scientist in their prospective and retrospective clinical research efforts.
The ideal candidate will collect, organize, and compile clinical information through electronic medical record review into retrospective databases. The candidate will assist the physician scientist by identifying novel research topics through literature review, draft abstracts and manuscript publications with authorship, and support prospective clinical trials by administering study interventions to patients. A strong understanding of medical terminology and proficiency with computer systems and software applications are required.
General Summary
Under supervision, carry out research projects within guidelines of regulatory compliance and/or Code of Federal Regulation.
Interact with internal and external customers at all levels and complete day-to-day operational tasks for the study.
Have direct contact with potential and enrolled study participants.
Provide other support as required.
Education and Experience Required
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Preferred one (1) year of work experience, with experience in research and/or healthcare preferred.
Associates degree, preferably in a research or healthcare related field.
