Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30pm, Rotating Weekend & Holidays
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Associates in Applied Science degree required. Coursework should include ultrasound physics, anatomy and physiology, electrocardiography, cardiovascular pathophysiology, cardiovascular hemodynamic principles, cardiac history‑taking, and key aspects of cardiorespiratory physical diagnosis.
Experience:
At least 6 months in 2‑D and M‑Mode echocardiography, preferred.
Skills:
Ability to efficiently obtain quality images of the heart and correct views to aid the interpreting physician in diagnosing the problem.
Production Standards:
Accuracy is critical in this position. Techniques and skills adequate to meet physicians' standards for quality of work and reliability of techniques.
Professional Membership:
Membership in an echocardiography society or association required.
License & Certification
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification required.
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) license through either ARDMS as Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 2 years of start date.
