Summary

The Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) supports the delivery of high‑quality care by managing patient and customer interactions, overseeing daily operations of an assigned area, and acting as the liaison between staff, managers, and physicians to ensure target metrics are met.

Responsibilities

Coordinator Accountabilities:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; plan daily operations and staffing; develop and maintain APM templates and master schedules; oversee AHIQA compliance; run financial reports and reconciliation; resolve front‑end queues and missing charge issues; generate performance metrics; communicate performance expectations to staff; act as link between the group and management; and assist in staff training and scheduling.

Patient Service Associate Duties:

Manage patient needs and service recovery; answer phones and handle patient requests using EMR; schedule and confirm appointments; collect co‑pays and process check‑out; obtain referrals and pre‑authorizations; maintain knowledge of insurance requirements; validate patient demographics; reconcile cash; order supplies; and support administrative tasks in POS and pre‑processing areas.

Credentials

H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

3+ years medical office experience

Advanced degree (Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's) may be considered in lieu of experience

Associate of Arts or Science, or equivalent experience

Salary Range:

$18.97 – $29.20 per hour
