
Travel Respiratory Therapist - $2,507 per week

Job Summary
Froedtert Health is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role requires a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with 2+ years of hospital experience and a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC. The position is for three 12‑hour night shifts per week (≈36 hrs) with alternate weekend/holiday rotations.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures, including use of medical gases, equipment, and environmental control systems.
Provide ventilatory support, including maintenance and management of life support systems.
Execute bronchopulmonary clearance techniques and breathing exercises.
Deliver patient education and cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
Maintain natural and artificial airways and document all procedures per hospital policies.
Perform duties in critical and non‑critical care areas for patients of all ages.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care, including critical care.
At least 1 year of general and critical care clinical experience.
Current Wisconsin RCP license.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
BLS, ACLS, and NRP (CHD only) certifications required.
Education
Associate Degree from a COARC accredited Respiratory Care program (required).
Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care (preferred).
Certification & Licensure
Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
BLS and ACLS certifications.
NRP (CHD only – applicable to Froedtert West Bend or Froedtert Menomonee Falls).
Work Authorization
U.S. Citizen.
Shift & Schedule
12‑hour night shifts, three nights per week (approx. 36 hrs). Alternate weekends and holidays. Contract length: 13 weeks.
