Responsibilities
Transform Epic EHR revenue cycle data into detailed reports, comprehensive analysis, and interactive visualization dashboards.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, develop dashboards, and optimize BI solutions to support strategic decision-making.
Reporting Solutions: Gather and understand business requirements, develop SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze datasets, and use data visualization tools to create reports and dashboards.
Data Visualizations: Create and maintain interactive visualizations in Tableau and Power BI; simplify complex data sets into clear graphics and stage data for visualization.
Technological Innovation: Explore and implement new BI technologies; learn from and assist senior team members.
Technical Expertise: Develop foundational BI skills, resolve basic technical challenges, optimize performance, and assist in developing and debugging SQL queries, dashboards, and other reporting functions.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required.
Experience
Six years of related technical experience required, including at least 4 years in an Epic EHR reporting environment.
Proficiency in SQL and data modeling; ability to write complex queries and design efficient database schemas.
Advanced skills in data visualization tools; proficient in creating detailed and interactive dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
Strong programming skills: Advanced knowledge of SQL for complex data manipulation and analysis.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications; strong collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
Proven experience with Epic EHR data and revenue cycle management.
Certifications
Certification in Epic Clarity Data Model and Revenue Data Model required.
