The Staff Accountant position supports the accounting department with day to day accounting activities along with creating accurate and timely financial records and reports for the Company.

The Staff Accountant position supports the accounting department with day to day accounting activities along with creating accurate and timely financial records and reports for the Company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepare accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Review records of general ledger accounts.
Develop and implement proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
Review financial schedules to ensure accuracy and ensure work paper documentation is sufficient.
Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
Assist in preparation of analytical reports used for monthly closing variance reviews.
Assist in the Accounts Payable process.
Perform daily administrative duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree in Accounting or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
Prior experience with Accounting and General Ledger or Banking preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Collaboration skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Perform detailed work accurately and timely.
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS
Standing, walking, bending and stooping required.
Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer.
Must be able to occasionally move or lift up to 10 pounds.
May be asked to work supplemental hours periodically.
Limited travel required during and after business hours.
