Description
The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations across multiple functional areas including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and HR program execution. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers, ensuring alignment with company policies, employment laws, and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, procedures, and practices
Support managers with employee relations matters, investigations, and performance management
Assist with conflict resolution and corrective action processes
Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture
Support full‑cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer coordination
Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and completion of required documentation
Partner with hiring managers to ensure timely and effective hiring processes
Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and general inquiries
Support annual open enrollment activities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
Support audits, reporting, and policy updates as needed
Assist with performance review cycles, documentation, and follow‑up
Support learning and development initiatives
Help implement employee engagement and retention strategies
Participate in HR initiatives, programs, and continuous improvement projects
Support policy development and employee communications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2–5 years of progressive HR experience
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) preferred
Experience working in a multi‑site and/or fast‑paced environment
Familiarity with payroll and benefits systems
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills
High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities
Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross‑functional teams
