
1st Shift - Maintenance Technician III - 4AM-1:30PM (MON-THUR)

Job Summary
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and keep production and facility equipment in safe, efficient, and productive condition. The role supports the site’s business goals through predictive and productive maintenance practices.
Primary Duties
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
Perform basic carpentry, welding, and electrical tasks.
Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair work on production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
Execute plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material‑handling equipment.
Detect faulty operations, report defective materials, and notify proper supervision of any unusual situations.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
Perform office maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., repair desk drawers, relocate cubicles, replace lightbulbs).
Maintain janitorial work, miscellaneous cleaning inside & outside the facility, and snow removal as needed.
Operate motorized industrial equipment such as scissor lifts and motorized maintenance carts.
Participate in department meetings and projects.
Operate within standard operating procedures.
Maintain neat, clean, and well‑organized work area.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write reports and correspondence.
Perform arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Successfully complete the motorized industrial equipment test and obtain a license.
Physical requirement: lift and/or move 50 pounds.
Work conditions: regular talking, hearing, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day; possess close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision with ability to adjust focus. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise level.
Education / Experience
High school diploma/GED and completion of Crown Certification (troubleshoot, repair, PM).
Certified in welding or 3 years of experience in welding, cutting, and metal fabrication.
Certified electrician or 5 years electrical experience or technical/vocational training demonstrating workable knowledge in all aspects of 220‑, 480‑volt, 3‑phase wiring.
Pass skills assessment tests for basic welding, electrical and/or mechanics.
