Overview

Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) & Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator Registered Nurse (RN) at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This is a Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Day Shift position, from Monday to Friday 7:00-3:30.
The MCS & QI Coordinator RN works with the Cardiovascular Services Nursing Director and CICU Medical Director to provide clinical oversight and nursing education. They support learning, open communication, research, and team collaboration for patients requiring MCS (e.g., ECMO, IABP, Impella). They develop and manage initial and ongoing education related to MCS devices and ECMO Specialist roles.
The role includes quality improvement program management, administration, continuous process improvement, competency management and tracking, and data tracking to monitor program performance. The MCS & QI Coordinator monitors safety events related to ECMO to identify trends and tailor education needs.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor\'s Degree: Nursing degree required upon hire.
Oregon Registered Nurse License (upon hire).
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (upon hire).
3 years acute critical care experience with patient population similar to department of hire.
1 year ECMO experience.
1 year IABP and Impella device experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Upon hire: National Certification in area of specialty is preferred, unless otherwise indicated.
ECMO specialist certification.
