Job Overview
We’re looking for a Client Reporting & Valuation Analyst to join our growing team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone motivated, curious, and eager to build a career within investment operations. You’ll play a key role in producing accurate valuations and client reports, supporting strong governance, and helping us deliver an excellent service to clients across the UK and internationally.
Responsibilities
Preparing accurate portfolio valuations and client reports, ensuring all checks are completed
Delivering a variety of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting tasks
Supporting colleagues and third‑party providers by responding to queries and resolving issues
Building knowledge of financial instruments, including fixed income and derivatives
Using analytical skills to identify discrepancies and supporting their resolution
Communicating clearly with internal teams and external partners to keep work on track
Contributing to process improvements and supporting a strong control environment
Documenting tasks and following procedures to maintain high standards of accuracy and delivery
Qualifications
Experience in valuations, fund accounting or investment reporting within financial services
Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Understanding of how portfolios are valued and how financial reports are produced
Degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Professional qualifications such as CFA, IMC, ACCA or CIPM (advantageous but not essential)
Confidence using financial tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, SQL, Power BI) and strong Excel skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Proactive approach, strong organisational skills, and enjoyment of problem‑solving
