Job Description
Addison Group is partnering with our client to identify an experienced HR Generalist to provide interim support during a transitional period. This individual will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations, recruiting efforts, and employee experience initiatives. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain HR systems including HRIS and applicant tracking tools
Coordinate full‑cycle recruiting activities such as scheduling interviews, managing candidate communications, and supporting hiring managers
Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth employee lifecycle experience
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with applicable employment regulations
Assist with payroll processing and respond to benefits‑related inquiries in partnership with internal teams
Support administration of employee leave programs including FMLA and related compliance tracking
Contribute to employee engagement efforts including events, recognition programs, and internal communications
Partner with leadership on process improvements and HR‑related projects
Provide general HR guidance and support to employees and managers as needed
Qualifications
4+ years of progressive HR experience with strong emphasis on recruiting and onboarding
Experience working in education or nonprofit environments preferred
Proficiency with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now or similar platforms
Demonstrated experience managing multiple requisitions and coordinating high‑volume onboarding
Knowledge of payroll practices, employee benefits, and leave administration (FMLA, ADA)
Strong communication skills with an approachable and adaptable work style
Bachelor’s degree preferred
