Job Description
Fluor's Corporate Accounting Department is seeking an Accountant at the Company's headquarters office located in Irving, Texas.
Job Duties
Assist with the stock compensation accounting for various executive plans
Perform certain journal entries, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations
Assist with the forecasting process for the Corporate Business Unit
Assist with government reporting requirements from the Bureau of Economic Analysis and U.S. Census Bureau
Use SAP and Tagetik ("TAP") Systems for various reporting requirements
Perform ad hoc projects and compile financial data analysis and reports as needed
Provide administrative support as needed, including journal entry imaging, copying, archiving historical files, ordering of supplies, invoice coding and processing, folder and tab labeling, expense reporting
Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
An accredited four-year degree in Accounting
3+ years of accounting experience
Excel proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUP
Willingness and ability to work extended hours during the quarterly and annual close process
Other Job Requirements
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate (both orally and in writing) effectively with management, coworkers, vendors, and visitors
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and deliverables in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Can perform work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner with attention to detail
Meets expectations on attendance and punctuality
Self-motivated/ Driven individual with a strong work ethic
Must comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
Preferred Qualifications
CPA candidate
Adobe proficiency to prepare various pdf packages
Knowledge of SAP General Ledger or equivalent ERP system
