Information Technology Internship Opportunity with Heritage Financial Credit Union
Looking for real-world IT experience beyond troubleshooting your own laptop? Are you curious, hands‑on, and ready to build real IT skills? Consider this 8‑week internship and join our team to gain exposure to IT operations in a secure, fast‑paced financial environment while building skills that employers actually look for.
In This Internship You Will
Support a major Wi-Fi rollout, including setup, testing, and optimization.
Manage Help Desk tickets and resolve day‑to‑day tech issues.
Troubleshoot hardware such as laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Assist with onboarding new employees (device setup, imaging, accounts).
Track and manage IT equipment inventory.
Create simple “how-to” guides for common tech issues.
Ensure all work meets data security and compliance standards.
Participate in team meetings and learn how IT supports business strategy.

Requirements
Currently enrolled in a college or technical program (IT, Computer Science, or related field).
Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi‑Fi).
Experience troubleshooting computers or small networks is a plus.
Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
Detail‑oriented and able to follow security protocols.
Comfortable lifting equipment (up to 30 lbs.) and handling basic hardware setup.
This position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work. We will provide online training to support this qualification. The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.

$20.00 per hour

8 weeks (June 1 - July 31, 2026) with ability to work through mid‑August if available
