Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Real Estate Paralegal to join our growing team in the Charlotte Metro area. Candidate will work from our Rock Hill or Charlotte location with flexibility to travel to all locations. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract to closing, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

You will play a key role in ensuring each transaction is executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory standards. This position involves close collaboration with attorneys, clients, realtors, lenders, and other industry professionals. Experience in estate planning and/or civil litigation is advantageous, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage real estate transactions (residential and commercial) from contract through post-closing.

Draft and review closing documents, including settlement statements, deeds, and affidavits.

Order and review title searches, surveys, municipal lien letters, payoff statements, and insurance documents.

Coordinate with lenders, agents, and clients to gather information, confirm details, and schedule closings.

Ensure all transaction timelines and deadlines are met.

Open, manage, and maintain SoftPro files accurately and in real time.

Record documents with Registers of Deeds and file post-closing packages.

Provide exceptional client communication and support throughout the transaction process.

Assist with additional firm matters, including estate planning and civil litigation files, as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in residential real estate law; commercial experience is a plus.

Proficiency in SoftPro (REQUIRED) – experience managing files independently within the platform.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys and support staff.

Willingness to work on-site.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience preparing commercial real estate closings (preferred but not required).

Familiarity with title review and resolution of common encumbrance issues.

Notary Public certification in North Carolina or South Carolina. If candidate does not have notary certification, it will be required upon hiring.

Working knowledge of estate planning or litigation support is a bonus.
