We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Litigation Paralegal with in-depth knowledge of the auto insurance industry. Our ideal candidate will have experience in case management as a paralegal and be skilled in drafting documents and managing personal injury case files. Responsibilities
Set up a system of filing for our cases that is well‑organized and easy to navigate, and perform related administrative duties.
Discuss potential lien, bill, and medical expense settlements with service providers or insurers.
Create demand letters, prepare demand packages, and negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters.
Coordinate between attorneys, staff, and outside vendors to manage the law firm’s case load, present case summaries/updates, and ensure that deadlines are met.
Manage, update, and organize all case files and information with regard to engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with firm policies.
Communicate case status with clients and outside counsel as requested.
Review legal documents to ensure adherence to all legal requirements.
Conduct legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, social security, medical records, and medical providers.
Qualifications
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
3‑5 years of experience in personal injury case management, either as a personal injury case manager at a law firm or as an insurance adjuster who has handled personal injury claims.
Self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple matters at once.
Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, and case management software.
High school diploma required; a 2‑year degree and Paralegal certification acceptable; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Compensation
Compensation: $65,000 – $80,000 per year.
