Experienced Mechanic - Join The Wolfe House Movers Team
Wolfe House Movers is looking for an experienced, hands‑on mechanic to join our team at our Bernville, PA facility. For over 40 years, Wolfe House Movers has been one of the leading structural moving companies in the country, relocating historic homes, large commercial structures and heavy buildings that most people would say can't be moved. Our fleet of specialized trucks, trailers and heavy equipment makes that possible— and keeping that equipment in top working order is critical to our success.

We're looking for a skilled mechanic who takes pride in their work, can diagnose problems quickly and enjoys working on a variety of equipment in a fast‑paced shop environment.

What You'll Work On

Truck and trailer maintenance and repair

Hydraulic systems and related components

Brake systems, suspension and electrical diagnostics

Preventative maintenance and inspections

Welding and fabrication (a plus)

Keeping equipment safe, reliable and job‑ready

What We're Looking For

Experienced mechanic (diesel or heavy equipment preferred)

Prior experience working on trailers strongly preferred

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail

Requirements

3+ years of mechanical experience working on trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, or similar machinery

Experience with trailer maintenance and repair preferred (brakes, suspension, electrical, air systems)

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Ability to perform preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs independently

Familiarity with hydraulic systems or heavy equipment (preferred)

Basic welding or fabrication skills are a plus

Ability to work safely and maintain an organized shop environment

Must have own basic mechanic tools

Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus but not required)

Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a hands‑on shop environment

Optional "Nice-to-Have" Qualifications

Diesel engine experience

CDL license

Experience with heavy haul trailers or specialty equipment

Hydraulic troubleshooting

MUST BE SOMEONE WHO TAKES PRIDE IN KEEPING EQUIPMENT SAFE AND JOB‑READY.
