About the Role
Join Spartan Scientific (a division of Canfield Industries) and work on real, production-ready hardware.
This role focuses on the design and development of:
Solenoid valves
Electro-pneumatic systems
Fluid control products used in industrial applications
You’ll take projects from concept to testing to production, working closely with manufacturing, suppliers, and internal teams.
What You’ll Work On
Direct-acting solenoid valves (2-way, 3-way)
Air-piloted and media-separated valves
Proportional flow control systems
Custom valve assemblies
What You’ll Do
Design parts, assemblies, and drawings (SolidWorks or similar)
Improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability
Support prototyping, testing, and validation (pressure, flow, durability)
Partner with manufacturing on DFM/DFA and production issues
Troubleshoot design and field-related challenges
Collaborate with electrical and cross-functional teams
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
3-5+ years of mechanical design or manufacturing experience
CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)
Understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes
Nice to Have
Experience with valves, pneumatics, or fluid power systems
Exposure to FEA or simulation tools
Manufacturing environment experience
Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems
