Schedule
Monday – Friday. 8‑hour shifts. Weekend requirement: rotating Saturday coverage – No on call.

Preferred Candidate
Two or more years of experience with biopsies and knowledge of mammography workflow processes and MQSA.

Lead Mammography Technologist (Tech) – Women’s Imaging Center – Millie Lancaster at Harbour View
Job Summary
The Lead Mammography Technologist manages the imaging department by establishing hospital practices and procedures compliant with the Mammography Quality Standards Act and Program (MQSA) guidelines. This Lead Tech oversees MQSA inspections, American College of Radiology (ACR) accreditations, physicist surveys, technologist certifications and patient education.

Essential Functions

Coordinate all daily hospital operations related to mammography services (e.g., scheduling, safety, patient care, and equipment maintenance).

Perform all mammographic and breast imaging procedures.

Supervise Mammography Technologists and students while maintaining proper staffing levels.

Demonstrate financial acumen to collect and analyze department data.

Education

Associate’s degree from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute (preferred).

Licensure/Certification

Certification and Registration in mammography, ARRT (required).

State licensure (preferred unless required by the state where the job is performed).

Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to direct patient care).

Experience

Two years of experience as a registered mammography technologist (required).

Two years of experience as a lead radiologic technologist (preferred).

EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred).

Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) experience (preferred).
