Johnson Controls is hiring! We have a phenomenal Product Electrical Engineer position onsite at our New Freedom, PA, location. You will be overseeing the electrical performance of air-cooled chiller components and systems, as well as providing support to the production, laboratory, service, applications, and marketing teams located globally. What You Will Do
This position is based onsite at our Advanced Development & Engineering Center in New Freedom, PA. Candidates must be commuting distance to the facility, or able to relocate. Johnson Controls offers various relocation packages, and options, based on your needs.
Investigate and analyze product design proposals on electrical power panels, control panels, variable speed drives, and wire harnesses in accordance with UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes.
Support the manufacturing and sustaining product including initiating and executing design changes.
Contribute to the product team through product design, testing, data analysis, and project management.
Conceptualize and implement electrical design ideas into new and existing products.
Prepare, check, and coordinate the release of electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and part selection of the most suitable electrical components to populate bills of materials.
Work closely with the design and manufacturing teams in generating concept layouts and system configurations that consider the best balance of cost, performance, and reliability.
Coordinate and help execute test programs to validate performance and reliability of electrical systems, components, and controls.
Contribute to the on-time completion of programs and report on the status of projects.
Analyze, design, modify and/or troubleshoot prototype electrical sub-components and control systems based on test results.
Generate and review technical documentation for use within the product team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
0-3 years of experience in controls systems, signal wiring, and power distribution
Familiarity applying regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, CSA, and CE
Experience with CAD design with an ability to conceptualize new ideas into 3D models and physical prototypes
US Citizenship and/or permanent resident

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $95,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
