Position Overview
The 24 hour per week position requires working varying weekday shifts and every Saturday.
Branch Hours
Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Nature and Scope
Performs transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy. Provides cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Presents and explains a basic number of credit union products and services to members. Represents the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem‑solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
Proficiency or willingness to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job.
Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures relevant to this position; compliance with all company policies, state and federal laws.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Principal Accountabilities
Provide friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and related services to members, resulting in a balanced cash drawer daily.
Cross‑sell other member services.
Process mail deposits and withdrawals.
Assist in balancing the ATM (if not performed by an outside source).
Train to perform open/closing duties with manager on site.
Train to verify checks for other tellers.
Train to perform overrides.
Cross‑train to help in other branch positions.
Attend training at headquarters or an off‑site location as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
