Job Highlights
This is a full‑time variable‑shift Phlebotomist/Lab Support Technician position for SSM Consultants Lab at St. Agnes Hospital located in Fond du Lac, WI. The role requires 32 hours per week and availability for day, evening, and night shifts. A one‑time sign‑on bonus may be available to qualified individuals with a 2‑year service commitment.
Job Summary
Under direct supervision, this position performs routine laboratory tasks according to procedures, including phlebotomy and/or waived testing. The role also supports general clerical duties such as receptionist and secretarial support, admission activities, and order entry processing.
Responsibilities
Assist customers by answering phones and responding to inquiries.
Assist laboratory staff in the daily operation of the lab by collecting, labeling, processing, and preserving blood, urine, and other specimens according to established laboratory procedures.
Enter, access, and execute lab orders in the appropriate laboratory and electronic medical record systems.
Clean and maintain laboratory supplies and work area.
Update statistical records, label tubes, and schedule processing runs as needed.
Perform phlebotomy and/or waived testing.
Identify patients using two identifiers.
Perform administrative and clerical duties including admission activities, insurance verification, order entry processing, and medical record processing.
Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
High school diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.

Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0‑25 lbs.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) to identify and distinguish colors.
Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication and to hear alarms or malfunctioning machinery.
Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25‑50 lbs.
Rare climbing.
Professional Licensure and Certifications
