We are seeking a Criminal Defense Associate Attorney with prior litigation experience who is motivated to grow professionally while playing a meaningful role in a high-performing, growth-oriented practice. This position offers significant courtroom exposure, early responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to the continued expansion and success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony matters in Texas courts

Manage a full caseload from intake through resolution, including trial preparation

Analyze cases strategically and execute effective defense plans

Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda with precision and efficiency

Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials

Negotiate with prosecutors and manage case progression effectively

Maintain organized case files and ensure timely movement of matters

Contribute to overall firm efficiency through strong case management practices

Collaborate with attorneys and staff to support workflow and operational goals

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Licensed and in good standing in Texas (additional jurisdictions a plus)

1–3 years of criminal defense, prosecution, or comparable litigation experience required

Demonstrated strong work ethic and a high level of accountability

Ability to manage a demanding caseload with efficiency and attention to detail

Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presence

Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills

Professional judgment and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

Interest in contributing to a growing, performance-driven practice

Fluency in Spanish very desirable
