
IT Support Specialist

Stone Ridge is seeking an IT Support Specialist to begin work on July 1, 2026. Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, Pre‑Kindergarten, and Kindergarten in Bethesda, Maryland. The IT Support Specialist Is Responsible For
providing technical support for faculty, staff, and students on hardware, software, and network‑related issues.
staffing the Help Desk, providing walk‑in and remote support to faculty, staff, and students on technology‑related issues and monitoring the Help Desk phone line.
supporting authentication and authorization needs, working closely with users to ensure their access to all key school technology systems.
supporting the management and maintenance of the school's 1:1 student device program, including inventory management, device configuration, and device repair.
supporting the budgeting, procurement, and implementation processes of the IT team.
participating in technology projects as needed, providing support and expertise.
researching technical solutions to address the needs of support cases and develop recommendations.
participating in the development and implementation of training programs for faculty, staff, and students on technology‑related topics.
maintaining accurate documentation on workflows and processes, as well as records of technology support requests and resolutions.
working with the other members of the IT team to develop and implement technology‑related policies and procedures.
staying up to date on emerging technology trends and making recommendations on how the school can leverage these technologies to enhance the learning experience for students and faculty.
Essential Skills And Experience
1+ years of experience providing technical support in a macOS/iOS environment.
Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, and common software applications.
Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong organization and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students.
Valued But Not Required Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent certification/experience).
Experience in technical support in a school or educational setting.
Experience supporting 1:1 student device programs.
Experience with administering JAMF Pro, Apple School Manager, and Apple Classroom.
Experience with maintaining documentation and administering data in support of a range of services and platforms.
This is a 12‑month position. Stone Ridge offers health, dental and vision benefits, as well as short‑ and long‑term disability, retirement, life insurance. This position has a salary range of $56,000–$75,000, depending on experience.
