Maintenance Technician B Crew - Fri, Sat & Sun 5am to 5:30pm
Smithfield, NC
Position: Maintenance B Team
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair processing equipment.
Maintain and repair facilities equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on processing and plant equipment.
Electrical troubleshooting.
Mechanical troubleshooting.
Communicate and document work performed.
Perform all other duties as assigned or asked by management.
Requirements
Machine tool
Electrical troubleshooting
Facilities maintenance
Decisions And Responsibilities
Must demonstrate Journeyman level competence in all of the above trade skills.
Manage and perform projects independently.
Mentor Maintenance Mechanic 1 levels.
Technical Requirements
Experience in repair of high-speed processing and paper converting equipment is preferred.
License or certificates in Electrical installations, troubleshooting and repair 24V-480V
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
Welding and fabrication
Pneumatic troubleshooting and repair
Machine tools
Plumbing and pipefitting
Facilities repair
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Will be required to lift up to 10 pounds; may be required to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.
Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Talk and hear over loud volumes.
Must be able to frequently stand, walk and sit.
Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
Must be able to work in a noisy and dusty manufacturing environment.
Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions.
