Overview
The Forklift Operator II is responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may also be required to perform order filler or order checker duties in addition to their own. This position is responsible for operating multiple types of forklift equipment and must be able to operate within a rack warehouse environment. Forklift operator needs to be able to operate sit‑down/stand‑up, clamp, cherry and reach equipment. Forklift certification is required on at least three pieces of equipment. The operator must spend at least fifty percent of their time on these types of equipment.

Responsibilities

Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using sit‑down/stand‑up, clamp, cherry and/or reach equipment (50% of their service time in the business).

Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.

Pulls and prepares products for shipment.

Ensures that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.

Performs picking duties promptly to meet customer service standards.

Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers.

Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.

Maintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security.

Assists in physical inventories.

Ensures proper stock rotation.

Conducts cycle counts as requested.

Uses Excel and general computer skills.

Demonstrates basic safety understanding in operating equipment.

Reports safety concerns to management promptly.

Reports inventory discrepancies to the inventory control team and assists in resolution.

Completes inspection forms before operating equipment.

Uses RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED preferred.

At least one year of forklift experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment.

Ability to stand or walk for up to 10–12 hours.

Ability to lift and/or pull 50 lbs. without restriction.

Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.

Comfortable walking in a distribution center that covers over a quarter mile in length.

Ability to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, temperature variation, and to access all building areas without limitations.

Availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and basic math skills.

Base hourly rate for this position is $20.25–$22.25 per hour. The position may also be eligible for an additional $X per hour based on shift work.

We are hiring CLAMP FLO across three shifts: $20.25 – $21.75 – $22.25. Monday–Thursday 6:00 am–4:30 pm; Monday–Thursday 5:00 pm–3:30 am; Friday–Sunday 8:00 am–9:30 pm.
