About the Job
We are looking for customer‑service & front‑of‑house team members to help meet our fast‑paced demand. Whether you’re multi‑tasking with your studies, getting a second source of income, or building a career with us, you’ll have plenty of flexibility in a part‑time or full‑time role. You’ll work nights, weekends, and holidays, with the opportunity to advance within the company, from store team member to management and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Training
Orientation and training are provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas.
Sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside.
Fumes from food odors.
Exposure to cornmeal dust.
Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Requirements
Standing:
Most tasks are performed from a standing position.
Walking:
For short distances and short durations. Surfaces include ceramic tile, bricks with linoleum; work‑surface height is between 36" and 48".
Sitting:
Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries are made twice a week or more. Unloaded by hand truck. Deliveries may weigh up to 50 lbs with dimensions up to 3' x 1.5'. Cases are usually lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
Carrying:
Large cans (3 lbs 7 oz) are carried from workstation to storage shelves. Occasionally, 30‑lb pizza sauce is moved from storage to front of store. Trays of pizza dough are carried three at a time, weighing ~12 lbs per tray.
Pushing:
Move trays on dollies (stack ~24"–30") requiring up to 7.5 lbs force. Trays may also be pulled.
Climbing:
Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladder to change prices, wash walls, perform maintenance.
Stooping / Bending:
Forward bending at waist necessary at assembly station; duration 30–45 sec repeatedly. Also at front counter and when stocking ingredients.
Crouching / Squatting:
Occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching:
Reach above 72" to turn controls, change signs, lift/lower objects. Reach down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes. Reach forward when obtaining toppings, cleaning surfaces, or answering phones.
Hand Tasks:
Continuous eye‑hand coordination required. Use of hands continuous during day. Frequent use of forearms and wrists shaping dough. Manipulate pizza peel, rolling cutter, frequent pinching for cardboard boxes. Grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, peel, boxes.
