Summary/Objective
Seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Project Manager/Scrum Master to join the Growth Team’s Digital Organization. This crew member will successfully drive team projects and large internal development efforts from initiation and planning to full execution and delivery. As a Project Manager/Scrum Master you will resolve impediments and have influence over agile processes for your teams. This position requires Scrum background and knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and requires the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong customer service orientation, continuous improvement and innovation mindset who drives collaboration and teamwork while exemplifying project management skills at different levels of the organization. This position requires SAFe methodology knowledge.

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

Essential Responsibilities

Serve as a Project Manager/Scrum Master for the CMS, Content Strategy & SEO teams

Lead all program/project planning efforts and ensure cross-team dependencies are well-understood and documented

Drive daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning and retrospective meetings

Ensure teams are ready to present during sprint demo meetings

Identify, document, and publish risks and issues related to the overall program and define resolution paths where required

Resolve cross-team impediments and blocking issues

Collect, consolidate and communicate cross-team status for delivery to stakeholders and executive management

Schedule and conduct meetings and ceremonies in accordance with best practices for Agile/Scrum software development

Responsible for building team collaboration, commitment towards achieving sprint objectives and prioritizing team needs above everything else

Continuously work to improve team performance and productivity

Encourage team accountability, self-organization, and empowerment

Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable communicating with development teams, Product Owners, and Senior Management

Effective facilitation and conflict resolution skills

Effective influencer, able to work upward and across teams to build relationships and partner with others to solve common problems

High level of personal accountability, as evidenced by commitment, resilience, ownership, and mindset toward continuous learning

Possess assertiveness to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority

Ability to facilitate, understand, and contribute to technical discussions

High motivation and drive to help the program teams excel and deliver based on program timelines

Coach team members and interactions over processes and tools

Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative processes and technologies

Manage development team backlog, work prioritization, assignment, and tracking in Jira

Strong technical background with ability to be hands-on throughout the project lifecycle

Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities

Comfortable negotiating and influencing program prioritization aligning to organization goals and strategy

Independently motivated with a “team player” mentality

Develop, maintain, and manage program schedule, focusing acutely on solution design, project prioritization, cross project milestones and quality delivery

Identify, communicate and monitor program prioritization as well as critical cross-project milestones

Manage program deliverables, scope & expectations and coordinate project progress with project managers, delivery managers, sponsors, upper management, and executives

Manage and track team velocity, financials, and other KPIs in relation to program and projects

Lead the collection, analysis, documentation and coordination of business requirements and business rules

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in delivering and/or overseeing IT projects/teams

BA/BS or MS degree in Business, Management Information Systems or Computer Science fields

A Scrum Master Certification or equivalent experience is preferred

Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills

CMS experience (Magnolia, Drupal, Wordpress or AEM) preferred

Experience in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) is required

Experience with PM and Collaboration tools: Jira (Atlassian Suite), Smartsheet

Experience with a variety of IT projects, including applications and operations projects, for a variety of functional areas

Experience leading a team of delivery/project managers while managing overall program on-time/on-budget delivery

Detail-oriented, multi-tasking, self-directed, with the ability to prioritize tasks

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising with remote users and vendors

Experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management

Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executive sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers

General understanding of Salesforce features and project implementation methodology

Understanding of SFDC Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, & Marketing Cloud Implementations, including Salesforce Knowledge Center

Experience leading or being a key member of a SFDC team and/or implementation projects
